
Qatar Stock Exchange gained 141.84 points (+1.08%) Tuesday when the bourse closed trading at 13,279.27 points Tuesday afternoon.
A volume of 24,325,509 shares exchanging hands from 10,021 transactions propelled the traded value by 28.37% to 950 Million from Monday's QR 740 Million.
The market capitalisation increased by 1% to QR 706 Billion from Monday's QR 699 Billion.
All sectors indices made fair gains, barring consumer goods and services which dipped marginally by 4.40 points or 0.06%.
Real estate companies had a good day with the sector's index up 87.69 points or +3.05% to close the day at 2,963.26 points.
From the financial sector, Qatar Oman Investment Company share surged 10% to touch 52-week high of QR 17.49 at close from Monday's Qr 15.90. The share has swung to this high today from a mean of QR 15.90 on June 8 to a low of QR 13.35 on July 1. Its 52-week low was QR 11.37.
From the 43 listed companies, 28 made fair gains particularly from real estate with Barwa up +4.10%, while 14 dipped marginally, bulk of them from consumer goods while Widam Foods remained unchanged.
Qatari individual investors bought a volume of 11,895,153 shares of 43 firms for a value of QR 376 Million or 39.57% of the total shares bought today.
Qatari individual investors sold a volume of 12,889,871 shares of 42 firms for a value of QR 445 Million or 46.85% of the total shares sold today.
Qatari institutional investors bought a volume of 4,268,350 shares of 35 firms for a value of QR 169.105 Million or 17.81% of the total shares bought today.
Qatari institutional investors sold a volume of 6,543,964 shares of 37 firms for a value of QR 271.225 Million or 28.56% of the total shares sold today.
