
Qatar Stock Exchange index Monday went up 1.7%, a gain of 228.34 points, when the bourse closed trading at 13,644.64 points.
The trading value reached QR 856.04 Million with a volume of 17,813,119 shares changing hands from 8,513 transactions.
The market capitalization reached QR 726.343 Billion.
All sector indices made gains, barring telecommunications which went down marginally by 2.79 points to close at 1,602.04 points; and transport went down by 1.20 points to close at 2,330.29 points.
From the 43 listed companies, 41 saw trading today. From these, 30 made fair gains, ten went down while one remained unchanged.
Qatar Islamic Bank led the gainers today, up 4.07% by QR 4.50 to close the day at QR 115. Qatar Electricity and Water Company share gained QR 3 when it closed at QR 188, up 1.62%
Qatari individual investors bought a volume of 8,612,443 shares of 40 companies for a value of QR 307.93 Million, representing 35.97% of the total shares bought today.
Qatar individual investors sold a volume of 8,350,460 shares of 40 companies for a value of QR 357.67 Million, representing 41.78% of the total shares sold today.
