
Qatar Exchange index ended in the green zone, up 250.1 points (+2.06%) to 12,384.24 points when trading closed Wednesday afternoon.
The traded value of QR 949,798,799.93 today is an increase by 11.98% compared to the QR 848,933,798.08 registered Tuesday.
The volume of 25,428,160 shares from 10,172 trades today is an increase by 21.75% compared to 20,884,025 shares from 9,953 trades Tuesday.
From the 43 listed companies, 31 made gains today, ten went down and one remained unchanged.
All sectorial indices ended in the green zone with gains ranging from insurance sector's 0.45% to a high of 3.95% that telecoms registered today.
Industries was the only sector to end in red, down 0.61%.
Banking and finance sector gained 2.50%. Qatar Islamic Bank lead gainers, rising 7.10% to close at QR 93.50, up QR 6.20.
International Islamic Bank came next, up 5.73% to QR 83 from the previous day's closing of QR 78.50.
Al Ahli Bank was the only one from the banking sector to note loss today, down 90 dirhams or -1.76% to close at QR 50.10.
From consumer goods and services sector, Qatar Cinema and Film Distribution Company continued its good run, up 9.4% to close at QR 49.45 from Tuesday's QR 45.20.
Medicare was also up 6.75% to QR 85.40 from the previous day's QR 80.
All real estate companies enjoyed a good run today. Ezdan Holding gained the most, up 5.24% to close at QR 22.51 with a significant trading volume of 4,687,115 shares.
From telecoms, Vodafone Qatar share gained 5.10% to close at QR 18.15 with maximum volume of 6,228,196 shares from 1,077 trades registered by the bourse today.
