
Qatar Exchange index gained 70.02 points (+0.58%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 12,049.85 points.
Trading value during this week decreased by 12.69% to reach QR 1,710,646,725.86 compared to QR 1,959,220,780.91.
Trading volume decreased by 3.13% to reach 42,845,619 shares, as against 44,231,349 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 3.36%, to reach 24,253 transactions as compared to 25,097 transactions.
Market capitalization rose by 0.53% to reach QR 646,931,216,477.86 as compared to QR 643,509,705,005.49 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 29.22% of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 27.04%. Real Estate sector accounted for 17.96% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 12.01%.
Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 25.43% of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 24.13%. Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 16.86% and Industries sector accounted 14.93%.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week accounted for 28.36% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 24.51%. Real Estate sector accounted for 17.13% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 14.35%.
From the 43 listed companies 24 ended this week higher, while 18 fell and one unchanged.
Gulf International Services (GIS) led traded value during this week accounted for 11.91% of the total traded value. Barwa Real Estate accounted for 10.63% and QNB accounted for 7.43%.
