
Qatar Exchange index gained 86.94 points (+0.69 percent) this week when the bourse closed Thursday at 12,607.60 points.
Trading value during this week increased by 13.47 percent to reach QR 3,985,072,221.79 compared to QR 3,512,095,718.22 last week.
Trading volume increased by 45.46 percent to reach 133,374,019 shares compared to 91,689,330 one week earlier, while the number of transactions fell by 0.33 percent, to reach 40,292 transactions compared to 40,426 transactions last week.
Market capitalization rose by 0.85 percent to reach QR 681,775,373,622.87 as compared to QR 676,062,498,627.80 at the end of previous week.
Real estate sector led traded value this week with 27.91 percent of the total traded value. Banking and financial services sector accounted for 24.60 percent. Telecoms sector accounted for 21.15 percent and Industries sector accounted for 15.34 percent.
Real estate sector led traded volume this week with 33.92 percent of the total traded volume. Telecoms sector accounted for 32.36 percent. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 15.07 percent and Industries sector accounted for 8.84 percent.
Real estate sector led traded number of transactions this week with 28.7 percent of the total number of transactions. Banking and financial services sector accounted for 23.44 percent. Telecoms sector accounted for 18.08 percent and Industries sector accounted for 17.25 percent.
From the 43 listed companies 21 ended this week higher, while 19 fell and 3 unchanged.
Vodafone Qatar led traded value this week accounting for 19.81 percent of the total traded value. Ezdan Holding Group accounted for 10.70 percent and Barwa Real Estate accounted for 9.88 percent.
