The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Thursday adding 14.17 points or 0.17% to 8,434.70 points from 8,420.53 Tuesday. The volume of shares traded up to 10,057,436 from 5,979,029 on Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR428,962,087.87 from QR211,914,073.13 Wednesday. Top gainers were Masref Al Rayan which was up 1.46% to QR24.40, Qatar Telecom by 1.82% to QR145.50, Intl. Islamic Bank by 1.34% to QR53.00 and Islamic Holding up by 0.85% to QR22.50. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 34.22 while the Insurance sector added 51.86 points. The Qatar industrial sector up 35.32 points and the Services sector lost 8.36 points.
