The Qatar Exchange was up on Thursday adding 76.87 points or 0.89% to 8,668.64 points from the previous closing of 8,591.77 . The volume of shares traded fell to 18,970,734 from 24,028,551 Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR739,595,105.95 from QR723,789,520.85 on Wednesday. Top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 2.59% to QR142.80, Industries Qatar by 1.37% to QR140.40, Qatar Telecom up by 2.35% to QR148.20, Qatar Insurance by 1.85% to QR82.50 and Al-Khalij Holding by 4.20% to QR17.60. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 156.06 and the Insurance sector rose 108.41 points. The Qatar industrial sector rose 129.65 points and the Services sector was added 9.02 points.
