Qatar stock exchange up 0.21 percent

The Qatar Exchange was in the green area Wednesday adding 18.14 points (or 0.21%) to advance to 8,604.82 points from 8,586.68 Tuesday. The volume of the shares traded was up to 4,717,705 from 4,245,696 on Tuesday and the value of shares increased to QR203,216,337.94 from QR185,140,326.29 Tuesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.47% to QR138.00, Qatar Islamic Bank rose 0.51% to QR78.20, Doha Insurance gained 0.67% to QR30.20 and Qatar Fuel up by 0.88% to QR288.00. The Banking and Financial sector index was up 12.48 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index gained 26.12 points. The industrial sector was dropped 2.72 points while insurance sector lost 1.26 points.
