The Qatar Exchange in the green area Wednesday adding 21.41 points (or 0.24%) to advance to 8,801.31 points from 8,779.90 Tuesday. The volume of the shares traded up to 9,086,492 from 8,063,455 on Tuesday, and the value of shares decreased to QR302,024,613.12 from QR328,837,212.43 Tuesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar Islamic Bank which was up 1.32% to QR77.00, Doha Insurance rose 1.43% to QR28.40, United Developing Company gained 1.03% to QR18.59 and Islamic Holding up by 2.18% to QR35.20. The Banking and Financial sector index was up 0.22 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index lost 0.14 points. The industrial sector was dropped 0.01points while insurance sector fell 0.06 points.
