Qatar stock index closes 23.82 points higher

Qatar Stock Exchange index gained 23.82 points (+0.19%) when it closed Monday at 12,549.25 points from Sunday's position of 12,525.43 points.
The traded value today increased to QR 431.88 Million with a volume of 7,642,708 shares from 4,866 transactions compared with QR 349.517 Million with a volume of 9,328,742 shares from 4,357 transactions on Sunday.
Insurance index gained the most today, up +1.78% to 4,151.97 points. Banks and financial services gained +0.95% (3,313.8 points). Telecoms were up +0.81% (1,423.22 points).
Real estate index was slightly up +0.17% when it closed at 2,530.07 points. Consumer goods and services also edged up, +0.09% (7,568.41 points).
Industries index went down -0.33% (4,029.04 points) and transport -0.02% (2,432 points).
Shares of 21 companies closed higher today, 17 dropped while three remained unchanged.
