The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) dug in at 6,749.0 and ended its yesterday’s trading up over 0.38 percent. The index traded within a range of 34.24 points, adding 25.79 points for the entire day. All market cap indices also closed higher. Sectoral performance was tremendous, as 13 out of the 15 sectors closed in the upward territory, accumulating 391.38 points collectively. Multi-Investment and Insurance were best performing sectors of the day, rising by 1.98 percent and 1.64 percent respectively. Only Cement and Telecom sectors could not manage for gains, going down slightly by 0.33 percent and 0.02 percent respectively. Most of heavyweights closed in green, with Kingdom Holding surging by 5.3 percent, Al-Rajhi Bank 1.44 percent and Saudi Telecom Co. 1.15 percent. The market breadth was almost balanced with 66 issues witnessing advances against 67 issues recording declines. ACE Arabia Insurance outperformed among all Saudi equities, reflecting an increment of SR 16.50 or 9.88 percent to close the day at SR 183.5. Amana Cooperative Insurance continued to play well for the second straight day, marching higher by 7.19 percent, and ranking second. The buying interest started to restore, as more than 212 million shares worth SR 6.96 billion exchanged hands on the Saudi Stock Market. This turnover reflects a 48.9 percent increase in terms of value and 24.5 percent in terms of volume as compared to the previous day, while, the number of executed transactions reached 136,321 trades, an increase of 3.5 percent.
