
Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 9.03 points, or 0.32 percent, to close at 2,809.35.
A total of 1.17 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.05 billion Singapore dollars (767.1 million U.S. dollars).
Decliners outnumbered gainers 187 to 160, while 551 others finished unchanged.
The STI index lost 54.95 points, or 1.91 percent, to close at 2,818.38 on Tuesday.
