U.S. stock indexes closed mixed on Friday, with the Dow Jones industrial average closing just above break-even on the New York Stock Exchange. The Dow was up 8.60 points, or 0.06 percent, closing at 15,303.10. The Nasdaq was 3.459.14, recording a loss of 0.27 point, or 0.01 percent. The Standard & Poor\'s 500 lost 0.91 point, or 0.06 percent, closing at 1,649.10 points. On the New York Stock Exchange, a total volume of 2.74 billion shares were traded. Decliners outpaced advancers, 1.59 billion shares to 1.08 billion shares. In Britain, the FTSE 100 dropped 0.63 percent, or 42.45 points, to 6,654.34. In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 picked up 128.47 points, or 0.89 percent, to close at 14,162.45. The 10-year treasury note yielded 2.013 percent. Crude oil prices lost a dime to settle at $94.15 a barrel Friday on the New York Mercantile Exchange. On currency markets, the euro was $1.2930 compared to $1.2932 on Thursday. Against the yen, the dollar was 101.07 from 101.96 yen Thursday.
