The US dollar was unchanged and trading at KD 0. 281 per dollar on Wednesday, according to the bulletin of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), while the euro gained to trade at KD 0.379 and the pound sterling also gained to KD 0.443. The Japanese yen was still at KD 0.003 and the Swiss franc went up to KD 0. 305. The currency exchange scene witnessed moderate action today, ahead of issue of the US Federal Reserve decision on monetary policy. The dollar had yesterday lost ground against other main currencies in anticipation of report of drop in growth rate in the last quarter of 2012. The market awaits the federal reserve decisions on bonds and whether to extend quantitative easing or put an end to it this year, in addition to its decision on interest rate for the near future.
