Marla Gibbs will appear in an episode of \"Southland,\" the Los Angeles police drama which stars her former \"227\" co-star Regina King, TNT said.Gibbs is to be a guest star on the Jan. 24 installment of the show, the cable network said.She will play Granny, a family member of a suspect Detective Lydia Adams is investigating for murder.King plays Adams.Season 4 of \"Southland\" is to premiere Jan. 17.Gibbs and King played mother and daughter on the sitcom \"227\" from 1985 to 1990.
