Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt shared photos and a few details from their August 23 nuptials in the new issues of People and Hello magazine.
Brangelina took the world by surprise Friday with the revelation that they had wed the prior weekend in France. Along with releasing pictures from their special day, the couple said it was important to them "that the day was relaxed and full of laughter."
"It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family," the couple added.
The couple's six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne, played such an important role in the wedding that Jolie's custom-made Versace gown featured several of their drawings in its backside.
"Luigi [Massi] is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress," said the 39-year-old actress of the master tailor at Atelier Versace. "He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together."
Pitt on the other hand wore a suit from his own closet to the event and complemented the outfit with a borrowed bow tie belonging to one of his sons as his forgot to bring his. Maddox, Pax, Shiloh and Knox wore black suits for the ceremony, Vivienne wore a white dress she already owned and Zahara wore a new dress designed by family friend Adama Kebe.
Both People and Hello magazine will feature special reports on the pair's wedding in their upcoming issues.
