Ariana Grande kicks off NFL season with national anthem gig

Ariana Grande kicked off football season Thursday night by performing the national anthem at the NFL opener in Seattle's CenturyLink Field.
The 21-year-old singer sported her signature ponytail for the event along with a bedazzled Seahawks jersey and blue jeans. Her performance was followed by a game between the Seahawks and Packers.
Grande's rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner" marks the first time she sang the anthem as a professional musician at a big time sporting event. She also performed the song at the age of 8, at a Florida Panthers hockey game.
The star's performance Thursday came days after her second album My Everything reached No. 1 on Billboard 200 -- this is her second album to do so in less than a year.
