Britney Spears may be known for flashy, fashion-forward costumes and clothing, but she turned a few heads recently when she went outdoors in what looked like a giant, deflated silver balloon. No, she wasn't preparing to take off on the next launch into space, she was wearing workout gear that's supposed to aid the weight-loss process by promoting sweating, E! Online reported. "The suit just does more of the same thing you would get without it -- only much more so," said Sophie Chiche, the owner of a Los Angeles spa that encourages clients to wear the metallic tops to help sweat out toxins. Wearers sweat "as much as three times [as much as without the suit], which goes directly to [a] more efficient detox," she added. "The hyper sweatsuit retains the heat closer to your body, and because of the trapped moisture everything feels more steamy. It's like cooking in your own juices." Check out a photo of the space-age suit here.
