Cesar Millan sued over alleged pit bull attack

Cesar Millan is being sued by a Florida nurse injured in a pit bull attack.
Alison Bitney alleges she suffered "disfiguring open wounds, deep muscle and tendon lacerations" and bone fractures when a friend's pit bull, Gus, attacked in Sept. 2014. The injuries to her arm reportedly caused permanent numbness in her hand.
Bitney claims the animal was sent to the trainer's Dog Psychology Center in Florida after he attacked his previous owner in 2013. She alleges Gus was released from the facility prematurely, and was allowed to live with her friend, a man with no experience handling aggressive dogs.
Center vice president Jen Woodward told TMZ the animal wasn't trained by Millan, and said the dog "was removed from the DPC against the strong advice and objection of his trainer, before his rehabilitation was completed."
Bitney told the website an L.A. county judge has ordered Gus to be euthanized. The dog was reportedly impounded and found to be a danger to the public in Texas and previously ordered to be put down in 2013.
Millan came to fame on Nat Geo Wild series Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, and published several books, including Cesar's Way and How to Raise the Perfect Dog. He currently operates dog training facilities in Santa Clarita, Calif., and Davie, Fla., where the pit bull in question was trained.
