Chris Brown checks into rehab after weekend assault arrest

Chris Brown\'s publicist says the troubled U.S. singer is in rehab. Brown, 24, was arrested last weekend for an altercation with a man in Washington while still on probation for beating then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. \"Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility,\" his representative said in a statement to People.com Tuesday. \"His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.\" The publicist did not divulge where Brown is seeking treatment, how long he will be there or what specific issues he wants to address.
