
Cinema Mac Mahon in Paris organized a homage to Egyptian actor Omar Sharif on Wednesday.
The homage was attended by Egypt's Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damati and Ambassador in Paris Ihab Badawi as well as a number of French movie makers and lovers.
In a press release, the famous cinema said the cinema will honor Sharif via screening 12 of his own movies in the period from September 10-22.
The cinema will also hold a number of meetings with prominent directors and actors who have worked with the late Egyptian actor.
World-famous actor Omar Sharif died aged 83 last July after suffering a heart attack at a hospital in Cairo.
Sharif won two Golden Globe awards and an Oscar nomination for his role as Sherif Ali in David Lean's 1962 epic Lawrence of Arabia.
