British soccer great David Beckham and his 15-year-old son Brooklyn escaped unscathed from a car crash Saturday.
"They were shaken. It was quite a heavy prang at quite a speed, but everybody walked away uninjured. Everybody's fine. Thankfully, the car's airbags deployed," The Telegraph quoted an unnamed source close to the family as saying.
David had just picked up his eldest child from a match when his Audi was involved in a collision outside Arsenal's training ground in Hertfordshire, England.
Brooklyn plays for the team's under-16 division. Thomas Cadman, a member of the Brighton squad who played against Arsenal Saturday, tweeted about the incident.
"Weird to play against Brooklyn Beckham earlier. Even weirder to be currently stuck behind David Beckham as he has crashed his car," Cadman said.
There was no word on the other motorist involved in the wreck or whether any summonses had been issued.
David and his wife -- former Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham -- have three sons and a daughter. Brooklyn reportedly has been dating 17-year-old actress Chloe Grace Moretz.
