Ice Cube has addressed the critical comments he made about MTV's posthumous award to Paul Walker at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. The 44-year-old actor and his co-star Kevin Hart were Best Onscreen Duo nominees at Sunday's ceremony for their performance in Ride Along. The award ended up going to Vin Diesel and late actor Paul Walker for Fast and the Furious 6 in what Ice Cube called a "sympathy vote." "We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy," Ice Cube told USA Today on Monday. "We were the best onscreen duo, period." Fans vote to choose the winners at each MTV Movie Awards ceremony, and Ice Cube said, "They should have gave it to [Walker] before he passed away." Walker died in November 2013 after he was involved in a car accident. "We was robbed," Ice Cube asserted. "Shame on you, MTV." The actor has since taken to Twitter to address his critical comments. He told his followers on Monday night, "Don't believe the hype," and downplayed his interview with USA Today. Re: The MTV Awards. I wasn't really mad we didn't win. So I would never diss the actors who won. Not even Paul Walker. Seriously people!— Ice Cube (@icecube) April 15, 2014 Ice Cube also clarified that "Re: The sympathy vote: We should honor people before they die. That's all." The actor asserted he is "not a sore loser. I was born losing. This winning [expletive] is what I gotta get use to." And Paul Walker fans don't trip. I was a fan too.— Ice Cube (@icecube) April 15, 2014
