Kate Hudson opened up about the "poignant" advice she received from her mother, Goldie Hawn, during an interview for the May issue of Self magazine. "My mom once said something so poignant to me: 'Honor your female friendships, because men can come and go, but when we nurture our relationships with women, they can be forever," the 35-year-old cover girl told the magazine adding that she "really [believes]" it too be true. "My girlfriends are so important to me. They've been my rock-solid foundation," she continued. The Almost Famous star went on to say that women have the choice to either support or compete with each other. "But if you compete, you're going to be miserable," she said. "Stick with what motivates you and makes you happy." Hudson also discussed her fitness regime, her eating habits, her take on self acceptance and one of the items on her bucket list during her interview.
