
Hollywood screen legend Lauren Bacall has died at the age of 89, the estate of her late husband Humphrey Bogart announced Tuesday.
NBC's Thomas Roberts was the first to report the news via Twitter. TMZ quickly followed saying she suffered a massive stroke earlier in the day.
Bogart's estate then took to Twitter to confirm she had died.

The native New Yorker was married to Bogart from 1945 until his death in 1957. Their big-screen collaborations include the classics To Have and Have Not, The Big Sleep, Dark Passage and Key Largo. She also appeared in the movies How to Marry a Millionaire and Designing Woman. She earned an Oscar nod for her performance in 1996's The Mirror Has Two Faces and was presented with a lifetime achievement Academy Award in 2009. She is survived by her three children -- two from her marriage to Bogart and one from her marriage to her ex-husband, actor Jason Robards, who died in 2000.
