Losing weight post 'Sultan' was painful
Salman Khan
Mumbai - Arab Today
Superstar Salman Khan, who had put on weight for his role of a wrestler in his last outing "Sultan", says the physical transformation from fat-to-fit was a painful experience.
In the film, salman's character Sultan was seen ageing from a young Haryana wrestler to an older man, for which he had to gain several kilos. "There is a lot of pain in undergoing physical transformation. I have been training for 'Tiger Zinda Hai' and there is another film that I am training - it's a dance film (referring to Remo D'Souza film). For 'Sultan', I was 96 kgs. I have shed 18-20 kgs," salman told reporters here last night.
The 51-year-old actor was speaking at the Zee Cine Awards held here last night.
On work front, salman will be next seen in "Tubelight", set to release in theatres in June this year. PTI

to 'eternal style' of late Alaia
Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations. It includes the dress worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell, his longtime friend and muse, when she led
