Michael Douglas, Matt Damon to present at Emmys

Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, who co-starred in this year\'s Liberace biopic \"Behind the Candelabra,\" will serve as presenters at this month\'s Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony, organizers said Tuesday. Both stars are nominated for leading actor in a movie or mini-series at the award show regarded as the Oscars of the television industry, which will be held in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 22. \"Behind the Candelabra\" has 15 Emmy nominations in all. Sixty-eight year-old Douglas -- whose separation from wife Catherine Zeta-Jones was announced last week -- played flamboyant entertainer Liberace in the HBO television movie, while Damon co-starred as his young gay lover, Scott Thorson. The pair, neither of whom has presented at the Emmys before, are the first presenters to be announced for the show, where stars hand out gongs to their fellow actors. They have both been nominated for Emmys five times previously; Douglas\'s nods include for \"Will and Grace, while Damon was shortlisted for a guest role on \"30 Rock.\" \"Glee\" star Neil Patrick Harris will host the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards show at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, organized by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
