A shooting at a Montgomery, Ala., restaurant killed Hustle Gang rapper Doe B and a Troy University student, police said. Six others were injured. Glenn Thomas, 22, known as Doe B, and Kimberle Johnson, 21, a student at Troy University, died of their injuries in the Saturday night shooting at Centennial Hill Bar and Grill in Montgomery, the Montgomery Advertiser reported. No arrests had been made and an investigation was under way, police said. Authorities quickly moved to close down the establishment, the newspaper said. "Effective immediately, the city of Montgomery has taken action to close the Centennial Hill Bar and Grill on Highland Avenue, which operated previously as the Rose Supper Club," Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange said in a statement. "We do not take this action lightly but believe this decision is compelled by clear evidence that continued operation of this establishment poses an imminent threat to the public's safety." "I believe it is not a matter of 'if,' but 'when' the next tragic incident occurs at this business," Strange continued. "That is unacceptable, and that is why we have ordered the business to be closed effective immediately." An October 2012 shooting at the same location left six people injured. Following that shooting, the Alabama ABC Board's Hearing Commission moved to revoke the liquor license of the Rose Supper Club in January 2013. Current owner Nicole Bankhead said she does not plan on reopening, calling the incident "awful" and saying she was "very sorry for everyone's loss." A number of prominent hip hop artists took to Twitter to express their grief over the incident. "R.I.P. Doe B , so sad , my prayers go out to his family & friends," rapper Juicy J tweeted. "RIP Doe B .... #NeverForgotten," said B.o.B. Russell Simmons tweeted: "RIP Doe B. Young man was only 22..."
