Nicholas Brendon arrested for allegedly trashing hotel room

Actor Nicholas Brendon has been arrested and charged with felony grand theft in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
TMZ said the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Criminal Minds star was in town for a comic-book convention when he got drunk, trashed his Hilton hotel room, charged food and drinks to the room, then refused to pay.
He allegedly did $450 in damages to the room and racked up $380 in room service.
"Nicholas is, unfortunately, battling a disease that many of us don't understand," Brendon's representative said in a statement Tuesday. "We are working with him to improve upon the situation at hand and look toward the future. He's sorry for his actions and takes what happened last night very seriously. We will take great care to ensure his safety in the future."
Brendon, who has a history of public intoxication and brushes with the law, last week announced he and Moonda Tee, his wife of five months, had split up.
