Soap star Crystal Hunt arrested on felony assault charge

Soap opera actress Crystal Hunt was arrested after she allegedly threw a glass at a woman at a Los Angeles bar, TMZ reported. Hunt was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, police said. The unidentified victim required medical attention but the extent of her injuries was unclear, the celebrity news website said. The actress was released Saturday morning after she posted bail. Hunt's lawyer, Shepard Kopp, told TMZ the other woman was the aggressor and Hunt was acting in self-defense.
