Susan Sarandon's daughter Eva Amurri Martino introduced her one-month-old daughter Marlowe Mae in a People magazine feature published Thursday.
Amurri Martino and NBC soccer analyst Kyle Martino welcomed baby Marlowe on August 9 in a 36-hour home delivery. The actress said the experience was, "really, really, intense".
"I just felt so lucky to have the kind of delivery that I wanted and that there were no complications. At the time, I was like, 'Maybe I'm crazy' because it was so intense," she told the magazine. "I think everyone has that moment when they're in labor, but once she came out I felt like I could do it again in a second."
New grandmother Sarandon stood beside her daughter during the home birth and said she was a "warrior" throughout the process.
"I have loved working, playing, and traveling with my daughter -- but nothing prepared me for watching her birth Marlowe. She was a warrior and I'm so proud to be her mother and to be a part of that beautiful new child."
More photos of the birth and of baby Marlowe will be featured in the upcoming issue of People magazine, out on Friday.
