Taylor Swift has joined in on the viral "no its Becky" meme that began when a Tumblr user posted an old photo of the singer and tried to pass it off as their late friend Becky.
Earlier this year an old school picture of Swfit in a tiara was shared on Tumblr with a strange caption:
"This is a picture of my friend Becky. She used to be a happy, popular girl until one night she snorted marijuana at a party. She died instantly. Please, don't do marijuana. It's the most dangerous drug out there. Please don't wind up like Becky."
When another Tumblr user commented on the image saying that the picture was in fact country music star Taylor Swift, someone else responded, "no its becky."
The comment went viral and eventually made its way to Swift herself, who in a strange turn of events, decided to turn it into a shirt. The "Shake it Off" singer was seen out and about in the Big Apple Wednesday wearing a yellow t-shirt with the words "no its becky," and later posted a selfie with the tshirt on her recently launched Tumblr account.
"I'm kind of rethinking the album cover," Swfit wrote in the caption.
