Wedding to take place live at ACM Awards
Las Vegas - UPI
Martina McBride and Pat Monahan are to perform \"Marry Me\" during a live wedding at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, CBS said. Christina Davidson and Frank Tucci, a couple from New Jersey, were selected to exchange vows on the prize presentation. \"To celebrate the message of the song, McBride and Monahan will perform the duet during a very special moment in the show, when a couple will get married live onstage,\" the network said in a news release. The song was written by Monahan and originally released in 2010 on his rock band Train\'s fifth studio album, \"Save Me, San Francisco.\" McBride, a country music star, covered the song on her latest album, \"Eleven.\" The ACM Awards show is to take place Sunday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations.
