
Forces loyal to Syria's President Bashar al-Assad staged air attacks on the town of Kasab in the Turkmen Bayir-Bucak region of Latakia, Syria, on Thursday.The attacks killed 15 people and wounded seven others, two of which were critically injured and have been brought to Turkey, from Turkey's Yayladagi border, and taken to hospital in the Hatay province.The clashes between the regime and the opposition forces are still continuing in the Turkmen Bayir-Bucak region, sources said.According to an Anadolu Agency correspondent who has spoken to local sources, the two fighter jets also destroyed and damaged settlements, schools and vehicles.Over 100,000 people have been killed during the three-year civil war in Syria, which has also internally displaced more than 6.5 million people, according to the UN. Over two million are now registered as refugees in neighboring Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq.
