Syrian opposition: more than 40,000 evacuated
residents gathered near green government buses

More than 40,000 persons have been evacuated from eastern Aleppo, the Syrian opposition said Wednesday.
Sky News quoted unnamed opposition sources as saying that about 100 buses are waiting for permit to enter the city to complete the evacuation of the last group of besieged civilians.
The opposition accused militias loyal to Iran of setting obstacles to the evacuation process.
