The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, MBRF, has revealed the criteria that candidates must meet to join the Arab Professionals Forum, which the foundation launched in collaboration with LinkedIn in October 2016.
The forum gathers top Arab subject-matter experts, academics, and scientists from all over the world, and serves as a platform where experts can communicate directly with Arab talent from the region and the world.
The foundation, a member of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, has developed a set of criteria for candidates wishing to join the platform, mandating, among other things, that candidates be citizens of Arab countries (including Arab expats around the world), and have more than 10 years of experience and a Master’s Degree or Doctorate in their chosen field, in addition to Arabic reading and writing skills.
"This forum builds bridges of cooperation between Arab experts, academics, and executives," said MBRF’s CEO, Jamal bin Huwaireb. "It encourages the exchange of ideas and opinions, aligns visions, and creates synergy to improve the cultural, social, and economic realities of the region."
"The stringent criteria we’ve specified allow us to select only the most qualified candidates to take part in the forum, which stands to bolster communication and cooperation between experts and academics in various fields," bin Huwaireb explained. "This, in turn, paves the way for bold ideas that can drastically improve conditions across the region, as well as for elaborate strategies and tactics to implement them."
The MBRF CEO went on to laud the agreement with LinkedIn, which intensifies cooperation between the foundation and the professional networking giant, and facilitates the launch of joint, knowledge-focused initiatives in the Arab region.
Meanwhile, Head of LinkedIn EMEA Emerging Markets, Middle East and Africa, Ali Matar, said, "We are honoured to be working together with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation to provide a platform that will allow Arab innovators and experts to collaborate and exchange knowledge and expertise. The UAE has always been a pioneer in launching initiatives that serve Arab societies at large."
The Arab Professionals Forum is a place for the most qualified Arab talents to meet with international and regional organisations to help them build their skillsets and improve their careers. The forum uses LinkedIn’s reach to bring together top Arab subject-matter experts from both public and private institutions, as well as academics, teachers, and researchers. LinkedIn is the world’s largest and widest network of professional communication with a membership of 450 million.
