Tunis - Hayat Al Ghanemi

Four security forces have been injured on Friday, as unknown people threw Molotov on their vehicle. The security forces have been transferred to the Regional Hospital in Sidi Bouzid. According to security sources, this incident comes after the death of one person and the arrest of 5 others.
Attacks on the Tunisian security forces were repeated in the period following the revolution and increased in a remarkable and threatening manner, and a number of security officials called on the People's Assembly deputies to expedite the consideration of a bill criminalizing the attack on the security guards who have been demanding it for years and delaying it is unacceptable for them.
The National Federation of Trade Unions of the Tunisian security forces expressed "deep dissatisfaction with the acts of vandalism and burning of the headquarters of the security security, whether against the backdrop of protests and calls for civil disobedience or attacks on the tires and security agents reached the point of attempted murder
The National Union of Trade Unions warned of repeated attacks on security and security establishments, which can only exhaust and weaken the institution and drain its strength and give the enemies of the homeland an opportunity to strike at the security and stability of Tunisia.
It said that such actions may be followed by parties with hidden agendas aimed at striking state institutions and the stability of the country by targeting the security institutions, especially the National Guard, which provided many martyrs and sacrifices in fighting the scourge of terrorism and organized crime.
It expressed its strong condemnation of the failure to pass the law to deny the attack on security by the legislative authority and the suspicious silence of politicians for such attacks, which reached the level of incitement.
It explained that the security intervention in all the incidents that took place during the recent period, including the incidents of Tataouine were legitimate according to Law No. 4 of 1969.
A number of security personnel had carried out during the past month a protest in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior in response to the invitation of the General Staff of the General Administration of Public Security.
They called for the provision of humanitarian working conditions to provide the minimum level of humanity during the exercise of security for their profession and provide a minimum of dignity during their fieldwork.
They stressed the need to pass the law to stop the assault on the internal security forces. According to a number of jurists and activists in civil society, the law to deny attacks on security personnel is a great danger to freedoms and rights and must be withdrawn and not ratified by the People's Assembly.
