Sharjah Ruler issues Emiri Decree No. 59 of 2017

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued Emiri Decree No. 59 of 2017 detailing the establishment of the 'Sharjah Academy of the Arts'.
The decree further stipulates that the academy will be based in the Emirate of Sharjah and can open branches in the emirate and beyond following a decision from the Ruler of Sharjah.
The academy shall be an independent scientific art, nonprofit scientific body with financial and administrative independence that enjoys the legal personality and full capacity to carry out what is necessary to achieve its objectives.
The decree is effective from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette
