Cara Delevingne responded to comments about her awkward television interview, claiming some don't understand "the British sense of humor."

The Paper Towns actress appeared on Good Day Sacramento earlier this week, where hosts peppered her with questions under the assumption that she was "too busy" to read.

"Un, no. I never read the book or the script, I kind of winged it," Delevingne shrugged. "No, of course I read the book. I think the book's amazing."

"You do seem a bit irritated," co-anchor Marrianne McClary said later in the interview. "Perhaps it's just us."

"No, yeah I think it's just you," the model and "Bad Blood" celebrity shot back before being prematurely signed off.

Hosts took the extra time to comment on her "mood," blaming part of it on supposed exhaustion from being on hundreds of interviews.

"You make $5 million for six weeks of work, you can pretend to talk to Good Day Sacramento with some 'oomph'," Mark Allen said afterward.

Delevingne took to Twitter in response to the public's reaction to the viral interview, writing "Some people just don't understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour."

In a reply message, comedian Zach Braff agreed with "or how it's condescending to ask an actress if she's read the book."
