King of Bahrain Meets UNESCO Director

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain met here on Thursday with the Director-General of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Irina Bokova, currently visiting Manama.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between Bahrain and UNESCO in addition to the topics of mutual interest.The Bahraini monarch affirmed his country's keenness to support the efforts of UNESCO as well as its initiatives and humanitarian activities, praising the level of cooperation between Bahrain and the Organization in all aspects of culture, education and heritage preservation. 
Earlier today, Bahrain's Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa met with the UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova.
