The Egyptian Foreign Ministry sameh shukry
Cairo - Arab Today

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry urged a unified international strategy for uprooting terrorism which became an international phenomenon, referring to the recent terror attacks on Paris, Mali, Lebanon and other states.
In statements to diplomatic editors on Thursday, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said the current international anti-terror strategy needs to be revisited in view of its discrimination among states and organizations.
He added that no country can fight terror alone so that states should exchange information and coordinate among among intelligence agencies to eradicate terror.
He also underscored the importance of fighting illegal immigration within this context.
Asked about anti-terror measures adopted by several states, including Belgium, and if these measures will be applied in Egypt, Abu-Zeid said when a heavyweight state confronts a terror attack, it intensifies its security and adopts measures that would be considered in ordinary circumstances as restrictive to freedoms.
He said terror is now threatening all world countries so that there should be intensified measures against terrorism.
He called for reviving overtures on combating terror and tightening measures in the face of terror in view of the emergence of new coalitions and new United Nations Security Council resolutions.
