NIHR receives US congressional delegation

National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)'s Acting Secretary-General Yasser Shaheen has received a United States congressional delegation visiting the country to learn about Bahrain achievements in various fields.
Shaheen gave an overview of the NIHR's role in disseminating and protecting human rights, noting Bahrain's human rights achievements and the establishment of the NIHR under the royal reforms.
The US delegation commended the NIHR's efforts in protecting human rights and Bahrain's remarkable human rights experience, stressing standing by the NIHR to attain set goals.
