About 16,000 tons of petroleum products have been pumped into fuel stations in Gharbia, Undersecretary of Supply Ministry in the Governorate Sami Al Nahas said in a statement on Friday.
Some 9,000 tons of butane gas cylinders have been also provided in all warehouses in the governorate, Al Nahas added.
All monitoring bodies in the governorate have imposed a tight control on all petrol stations and butane gas warehouses to prevent any attempts to raise prices as well as taking legal procedures against those who seek to increase prices of the fuel products and sell them on the black market.
