His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain, today received a phone call from Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two leaders affirmed deep friendship binding the two countries, stressing their satisfaction and appreciation of steadily-growing relations in all fields, particularly trade and investments, towards achieving the shared interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
The phone call focused on consultation regarding latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic relations with the State of Qatar as well as other issues.
The Bahraini King stressed the necessity for Qatar to rectify its policy in a way that affirms its commitments to its past obligations and meets the demands which were submitted to Doha- for the sake of the security of the whole region and the interest of all sides, including Qatar.
King Hamad commended constant coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation regarding regional and international issues, reiterating their shared keenness as well as agreement on the importance of combating the scourge of terrorism and drying up all sources of terror financing and harbouring.
