Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has issued a decision to promote 4,116 officers, warrant officers and other members of the Dubai Police, as well as changing the status of 148, and promoting and retiring 15 policemen.
Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, offered his appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for this decision, which reflects the extent of His Highness's support for the Police and its employees, as well as His Highness’s appreciation for the important national role they perform, as the cornerstone of the security system, which maintains the safety of the community, provides safety for its members, and protects the country’s achievements and prosperity, based on the enlightened directives of the wise leadership that focusses on achieving the happiness of the community and all its members through high quality services, while maintaining the interests of the people according to the best international standards.
He also praised the generous gesture for its positive moral effect and strong encouragement for all members of the Dubai Police force, to continue performing their national duties in the best way possible to assure Duabi's security and safety, which are considered among the most important factors in supporting the country’s strong development in various sectors. He also expressed, on behalf of those who were promoted on the Dubai Police General Command, their sincere gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his care and unlimited support, which has doubled the responsibility on their shoulders for the security of the country and its citizens, and their services to everyone, whether living in the country, or its many guests.
The decision includes the promotion of nine policemen to the rank of brigadier, 40 to the rank of colonel, 57 to the rank of lt. colonel, 53 to the rank of major, 174 to the rank of captain, 178 to the rank of first lieutenant, 137 to the rank of lieutenant, and adjusting the position of 21 to the same rank.
The decision also includes the promotion of 452 and changing the status of nine to the rank of warrant officer 1, the promotion of 256 and adjusting the position of three to the rank of warrant officer, the promotion of 323 and adjusting the position of 14 to the rank of staff sergeant, the promotion of 809 and adjusting the position of nine to the rank of sergeant, as well as the promotion of three to the same rank and their retirement, along with the retirement of a warrant officer and a sergeant. The decision also includes the promotion of 747 and adjusting the position of 92 to the rank of staff corporal, and 516 to the rank of corporal, as well as the promotion of 366 to the rank of senior constable.
