His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the institutional identity strategy of Dubai Police that is built on three main principles of innovation, security and communication.

These three principles are identical to the goals of the Dubai Police 2016-2021 strategic plan, consistent with the Dubai Government Plan 2021 and inspired by the UAE Centennial Plan 2071, to establish the country's policies for providing the highest levels of overall security, safety and happiness of its citizens, residents and visitors.

Sheikh Mohammed viewed all the strategy's stages and the steps taken to guarantee its perfection. The process of creating its guidelines went through several stages, which demonstrated the accomplishments of the Dubai Police and its contributions to serving the nation, citizens, residents and visitors over the past few years, as well as the current state of its processes and procedures. He also studied and analysed the future short and long-term development goals of Dubai Police.
He praised the efforts of the Dubai Police and its desire to apply advanced working procedures according to the best international studies and practices.

The Ruler also highlighted the necessity of continuing the process of development according to the highest standards, to guarantee that this vital body can improve its abilities to keep pace with the rapid developments witnessed by all sectors of the country, and to efficiently face any challenges to achieve its desired goals for the benefit of the community, guaranteeing a secure and stable life for its members and the best working atmosphere for its institutions.

While developing the institutional identity strategy, it was evident that working methods of Dubai Police were inspired by the vision of His Highness and his continuous directives to provide all means of achieving happiness for the people and guaranteeing their quality of life, enabling them to participate positively and effectively and achieve the overall ambitions of the UAE to reach its desired stature among the most advanced countries while increasing its rate of development, with security and stability considered among its most important features.

Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, stated that the new institutional identity strategy was inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, offering a model to be followed for building a safe and productive society that is able to create positive benefits, to develop people's lives for the better. He highlighted His Highness's continuous message that happiness and positivity are the most crucial factors of a successful life, which encouraged the government to place them at the forefront of its priorities.

He also called for combining the efforts of all government authorities, to reach the perfect example of a happy and productive community where everyone can enjoy security and a dignified living with the support of Dubai Police, and to become involved in the pivotal role of achieving this vision and translating it into reality.

Al Marri clarified that the strategy relies on the three main principles of innovation, security and communication, reflecting the desire of Dubai to place the future in its sight in all areas of development.

Major General Al Marri further stated that the confirmation of Sheikh Mohammed of the institutional identity strategy has given Dubai Police a new impetus to double its work, to realise the vision of the wise leadership with meticulous execution and deepen its contribution to the community, to achieve unprecedented levels of developmental under a secure environment with security, stability, and happiness, for Dubai and the UAE to remain a perfect model and an example to be followed for building a happy future, full of opportunities for everyone.
