The United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt have strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Sunday which targeted a security patrol in the Al Masoura district in Qatif governorate in Saudi Arabia, killing one and injuring six others.
MARTYRS’ KIN TO BE HOSTED
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has ordered to host 1,000 families of the martyrs of Egyptian Armed Forces and Police to perform Hajj rituals this year.
Saudi Ambassador to Arab Republic of Egypt, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Arab League and Dean of Arab Diplomatic Corps Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Qattan on Monday announced in a statement issued by the Saudi Embassy in Cairo, that the hosting comes in appreciation from the King for the families of martyrs who have sacrificed their lives to defend their homeland, the SPA has reported.
In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation said that the UAE strongly condemns the criminal act and permanently rejects all forms of violence and terrorism, reiterating its strong support for Saudi Arabia and its firm standing in confronting these serious crimes.
The ministry went on to stress that such cowardly acts of terrorism would not undermine the determination of the people of Saudi Arabia and their resolve to continue to confront terrorism which has no homeland, religion or morals.
“This terrorist act is completely incompatible with all human and religious principles and values,” it said.
The ministry concluded its statement by expressing the UAE’s condolences to the family of the martyr, the government and the people of Saudi Arabia, and wishing for a speedy recovery for those injured in the attack.
According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Egyptian government has expressed condolences to the family of the deceased.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed in a statement on Monday Egypt’s solidarity and stance by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the face of terrorism and extremism, stressing its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security and safety of its citizens.
