Jordanian Human development expert, Magdi Hamdan
Amman - Iman Youssef

Jordanian Human development expert, Magdi Hamdan, revealed the reasons for the success of "Saraha"(Frankness) site that recently spread on Facebook. From a scientific perspective, the site played on two of the most important things in a person's personal life, curiosity and love of praise. Frankness is not a mistake, it sometimes may be a virtue, but the most important is its style.

Hamdan said, in an exclusive interview with Arabs Today, that Saraha website has achieved great success on Facebook, according to Mark Zuckerberg, considering that the social shame is the primary driver of Arab youth on this website.
He pointed to shame in the psychological science is a casual crisis, in which all human beings may infect, but it is abnormal when shyness becomes a characteristic of the person.

Hamdan indicated that the greatest characteristic features of man is the desire to learn new things and the pursuit of satisfying the curiosity never ends. For example, when reading the questions in Saraha, the curiosity will push you to register and enter the site.

"Every one of us has the lovers and haters in his life, whether from the friends or the community," he said. "So, knowing the opinion of others in you includes some sort of probability praise, when you share the link with your friends, you are sure somehow that the messages will contain a compliment to you and some of your character traits" he added.

Hamdan pointed out that the frankness needed to style and a good time, and not be hurtful so it needs careful selection of words.

He concluded that admonition is acceptable and beneficial, if the goal is reconciliation and clear the air, but others avenge themselves during admonition, and detracting from their friends and this is not acceptable.
