Colombia, FARC sign revised peace deal

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and FARC rebel leader Rodrigo "Timochenko" Londono signed a revised peace accord Thursday to end a half-century conflict, set to be ratified despite bitter criticism from opponents.
Santos, this year's Nobel Peace Prize winner, signed the new deal alongside the leftist guerrillas' commander in a low-key ceremony in Bogota, after Colombians voting in a referendum last month rejected an initial accord criticized as too soft on the FARC.
The new deal will now be sent to Congress, where Santos has a majority, rather than put to another referendum.
