Reese Witherspoon’s Ojai Home

Reese Witherspoon has opened the doors to her Ojai home which will be featured in Elle Decor\'s September 2012 issue. The house was built in 1923 in a very traditional way with antique luxurious pieces. The seven-acre estate features a swimming pool, guest cottages, a barn, and a horse paddock. The house is decorated in cream white and brown with pops of bright colours and patterns. The special pieces of the house are the Turkish rugs, patterned throw pillows and bright table lamps that look great with custom-made leather seats and wooden finishing and furniture. The design’s purpose was to show complete comfort so cozy window seating and nooks for reading and lounging were made. The house shows beautiful architectural details such as rounded doorways and arches and decorated ceilings. The outdoors has a dining area under the green canopy with antique lantern and vintage wicker chairs.
